My first day skiing this season and there was fresh snow! Woohoo!

Andrew and I had a great time on the hill

And of course saw a bunch of folks out and about which was great!

Friday night was dinner at Allreds so I got to see Alacia which made me so happy!!!

Angie and the whole crew took such great care of us and we had a great meal

It was an awesome day! I love vacationing in Telluride!

I got picked up from the airport by Jeff and he excels at hugging! I then got some great ones from Peter and Teresa – I am so glad I am here!

Since he’s become a big brother we’ve been hanging with Thump a bunch recently which is so great. It gives me my 2-dog-fix without actually getting another dog!

Over the past 4 days I’ve gone to 3 movies. It’s been great! Here are my brief thoughts on the movies I saw.

(1) Shame – It had a couple of moments that really struck me and I felt Michael Fassbender did an excellent job of portraying the compulsion that comes with addiction

(2) Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close – I loved most of the casting – it was really excellent. While I didn’t agree with every choice that was made in general I was very moved by this film and was engaged throughout

(3) The Artist – It may be due to over-hype but I was not super impressed. It was interesting and unique but I wasn’t wowed. Of course I loved the dog!

…that we are headed to the Superbowl!

Today was Arlo’s Bris – what a special ceremony. Both sets of grandparents were there and his uncles and lots of friends. He is so loved.

…that I completed a craft project

I am a little inconsistent with completing more complex craft projects, (ie the 2nd annual triathlon tees, Lauren’s shadowbox, etc, etc), so when I do complete a project and I like the final outcome I get pretty excited!

Here are 2 businesses in East Nashville that are helping me take care of myself. Lots of love to them!

(1) Kali Yuga Yoga – I am just slowly getting back into practicing yoga and I am loving the Kapha classes here. The instructors are great and the studio has such a good vibe AND it’s only 5 minutes away from my house!

(2) East Nashville Community Acupuncture – a super affordable option from acupuncture. The practitioners are really lovely and the peace and healing I get from there is great!
